1. Is the hostel close to the city centre?
Yes, our hostel "Bursa Jagiellonska" is situated close to the tourist centre of Krakow. The old Jewish district of Kazimierz is only within 10 minutes walk and it's worth to mention that Kazimierz is an exceptional place with it's social and cultural life, many good pubs and galleries. The Wawel Royal Castle is within approx. 15 minutes walk and the Main Market Square approx. 30 minutes walk from our hostel. Furthermore, our hostel is located close to the old part of Podgorze district and places reminding the history of the Krakow Ghetto and concentration camp of Plaszow.
There is a good connection by public transport from our hostel to both the Main Market Square (Old Town) and the main bus and train station.
2. How to get to the hostel from the main bus and train station?
After you leave the platform, go to the tram stop labelled "Dworzec Główny" (there are several tram stops near the railway station, so watch the labels!) and take the tram no.10 (destination - "Lagiewniki"). Get off at the 7th stop, labeled "Smolki" (2nd stop after crossing the Wisla river). Walk down the Kalwaryjska street for about 150 meters. Turn right next to the Chineese restaurant into Sliska street.
If you have a lot of luggage, it might be a good idea to take a taxi. The phone number is 0800 400 400, +4812 9661 or +48 501 13 9661. The taxi fare should be 15 to 20 PLN. If you get much overcharged on your way to the hostel, you may always ask someone from the reception desk to help you talk to the taxi driver to identify the source of additional fee.

3. How to get to the hostel from the airport Balice?
Take bus no. 292 from the airport, get off at the bus stop "Cracovia", then go to the bus stop in front of the cinema "Kijów" (also labelled "Cracovia"), get on the bus no. 103, 144, 164, 173 or 179, and get off at the stop called "Rondo Matecznego" (it's the 5th stop - roundabout Mateczny).

4. Is breakfast included in the room price?
Breakfast is not included in the rate. Continental breakfast can be purchased at the reception of the hostel. Breakfasts are served between 7.30-11.00 a.m. everyday. You can also use kitchens in our hostel.
5. Are bed linen and towels included?
Yes, all bed linen and towels are included. Towels are given at the reception of the hostel on request.
6. What are the check-in and check-out times?
Guests can check in at any time after 11.00 a.m. and they must check out before 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure. Guests arriving before 11.00 a.m. can leave their luggage in our luggage room for free.
7. Does the hostel have a curfew?
There is no curfew in our hostel. Reception is open 24h a day.
8. What methods of payment are accepted?
We accept cash (Polish zloty) and credit cards. Payments by bank transfer must be made 7 days before arrival.
We require a deposit for group reservations (30% of the total amount) paid not later than 30 days before the arrival date.
9. Until when can I cancel the reservation?
For individual reservations cancellation can be made up to 48h before the arrival date. Group cancellations must be made in writing 30 days before the arrival date. The deposit that group has already paid is non-refundable after that date.
10. Do I need to make a reservation?
Usually we ask for the reservation because of our availability. If possible, you should always try to make a reservation, especially if you travel in the high season.

12. Are there any discounts for students and others?
We offer 10% discount for students, teachers and holders of international hostel cards.
13. What kind of services the hostel offers?
For individual tourists we offer accommodation and breakfasts, bike rental, guided Krakow tours and guided tours to Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz concentration camp. Furthermore, our hostel offers internet access, laundry facilities, self-catering kitchens, safe luggage room and bike storage for free.
For groups we offer accommodation, breakfasts and dinners in a special price. We also offer complete organization and programs of stay for group: reservation of entrance tickets to museums, Krakow sightseeing and guided tours to Wieliczka Salt Mine and Auschwitz concentration camp, etc.
14. Is there a guarded car park nearby?
Yes, there is a paid guarded car park next to our hostel.
15. What safekeeping facilities are provided?
We have a document and valuables safe at the reception desk at no charge. You can leave your luggage in our luggage room for free.
